Buying Vintage

We’re drawn to clothes that have become more interesting with time. A softened colour, a beautifully worn seam, a careful darn: these are the details that make a garment individual, and the reasons we keep looking.

Clothes with character

Vintage offers the pleasure of finding something particular. It might be the proportions of an old work jacket, an unfamiliar team patch, or a knit that has been patiently repaired. We value the cloth, construction and small details that make a piece worth wearing again.

Wear, care and another chapter

A good repair can be part of a garment’s beauty. We like visible mending that tells you someone chose to keep a piece going. Wear and repairs vary from item to item, so our photographs and condition notes help you decide which kind of character you want to live with.

Finding your fit

Vintage labels and sizes vary. We provide flat measurements in inches: pit to pit, collar to hem, and shoulder to cuff where applicable. Compare them with a similar garment you already enjoy wearing, and look through the full gallery before choosing.

If you’d like help with a detail or measurement, email unionvtg39@gmail.com.

Selling vintage to Union

We’re interested in hearing about vintage clothing you’d like us to consider buying, from individual pieces to collections. Send front and back photographs, label close-ups, measurements and details of any repairs or wear. Tell us your location, asking price if you have one, and any history you know.

Every piece is considered individually. Email first so we can take a look together before arranging any next steps.
